For the .net build-off I was asked to mock up a homepage design for an iPhone app. I chose a fictitious creative application "Rotate and create" a sophiscicated version of my favourite childhood activity "painting with marbles".

Client:Clarks

Employer:Adventure Trek

Clarks are about to launch their Adventure Trek shoe and to support this they want to launch a Holiday competition that will promote both the brand and the new shoe. The branding for their shoe is based around the 1950's so I used this for the look and feel with an adventure twist to support the idea of sticking a pin in the map to guess the holiday location. The nearest pin to the location will win the holiday prize.

I'm absolutely loving doing my own work at the moment. Just working on a pure design piece without thinking about the constraint of the web is bliss. I see myself doing a lot more of this work so keep your eyes peeled.

Metro

This is a concept for the Metro site. The idea is to show all the creative stuff that goes on in our heads. This was great to work on as it gave me the chance to do some illustration work.

Client:Manchester Arndale

Employer:McCann Erickson

This concept was meant to be part of a fully integrated pitch with an overarching idea, unfortunatley this didn't get shown as the idea changed but I fully enjoyed working on this. My idea was to show all the fun and cool stuff that bursts out of the Arndale and make people aware of some of the High named brands that are located in the Manchester Arndale centre.

Sometimes it's good to just have a play around in Photoshop and not worry about timescales and deadlines etc. I just put this together as I had some spare time on my hands. Hope you like it.

AT ONE

Client:Ben & Jerry's

Employer:McCann Erickson

Ben & Jerrys is a top brand and I’m sure any designer would love them as a client. With a bit of downtime in studio there is nothing worse that sitting at your desk twiddling your thumbs, so I took the opportunity to work on a brand that really appealed to me. I knew I only had a couple of days spare so nothing too crazy here I’m afraid! But I managed to give the site a nice refresh along with a picnic theme to support the coming summer.

I’ve been wanting to design artwork for t-shirts since I was at University. It was either t-shirts or creating artwork for skateboards, so I decided it was time to make that dream come true. This is a concept for my new t-shirt brand eminent, that will hopefully go live soon with four designs to kick things off. Watch this space ;)

I was given the privilage to do the branding for the new McCann Erickson Metro office. The second buisness card shown is the final logo that was picked to represent Metro.

Designing a portfolio site for me is always a bit daunting as I never know what to do to promote myself. This was version one of Design Embraced and the design was more about reflecting my personality than anything else whilst creating something quite unique. When I found out that I won some awards and gained some recognition for it on other design sites it was a nice sense of achievement. I decided to redo my portfolio with the site you're now viewing because I think that version one is a piece in its own right and because the interface was so rich I thought it took a lot of focus off the projects.

Client:Joe Browns

Employer:McCann Erickson

Joe Browns asked McCann Metro to come up with an email/creative campaign Idea to generate more sales and traffic to their current site. I turned the brief on its head and came up with the idea of featuring their clothing range by season within an interactive and fun environment, so that their merchandise would be more visually appealing. The site allows users to view merchandise against other merchandise to push multiple purchasing.

Client:Clarks

Employer:McCann Erickson

Clarks asked McCann Erickson to come up with an idea for their Clarks originals 60th aniversary. I developed a new brand identity to promote an online visualiser that allows users to express their own originality whilst subtly engaging users in Clarks Originals brand. Users have the ability to create and customise their visualiser by uploading music and images, by using the edit tools to change the overall colour scheme and also image manipulation that can be applied to their visualiser.

A button basher game...Whooooo. To play this game the user simply hits the left and right arrow keys repeatedly to inflate the balloon, but has to remember to use the spacebar to take a breath to fill up their lungs. The idea of the games is to burst the balloon as quickly as possible. The top fastest times will be shown on the leaderboard.

This game is intended to be shot as video and the user can upload a picture of their face either from an existing file on their computer or using their web cam. This will then be mapped onto the character. Once the character is ready the user will use various keys on their keyboard to move the character across the screen and perform moves to keep the ball in the air. The best score achieved in the 60 sec will be shown on the top leader board.
